I was in the bathroom and happened to look in the mirror. The right side of my face is all red!

We got up in time to go to early church. Our church celebrated Ascension today with brass accompaniments for several hymns and choir selections by the children. Vicar Reich also gave a good sermon on Jesus' ascension into heaven. Afterwards, the people from the mission team spoke about their trip to Asia. I am very glad we were able to hear about it.

Then Terry decided we needed to eat Chinese, so we went to the Dragon Wall. Back at home, we could hardly wait to take naps; we were so sleepy! Terry zonked out in a recliner, but I took a blanket and pillow out to the trampoline to soak up some sun on this super nice day. I fell fast asleep and slept like a rock. I dreamed various things- one thing was that I couldn't open both eyes. My left eye wouldn't open. When I finally woke up, my hands were near my face and one of my fingers was holding my eye closed. And that long snooze in the sunshine is why 1/2 my face is sunburned! I look pretty silly.

(I hope the redness fades overnight because I have several appointments in the morning. I'm scheduled for a fasting lab+ the yearly fun stuff + I'm getting my eyes checked.)

After sleeping so hard, I had trouble getting anything done around here. I took a walk, but at first it was torture putting one foot in front of the other. At least it got better the farther I went. I walked through some tall grass and have found several ticks that want to suck my blood. There will need to be a tick check before bed.

Samantha and Connor are coming to stay with us tonight, but won't get here very early.

Acts 1:9-11 ...He was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight. They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed white stood beside them. "Men of Galilee," they said, "why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven."
