TEKA RANCH - WHERE THE FUN NEVER ENDS - APRIL 12, 2018 - THURSDAY
We were surprised to see the sun rise this morning because it was quite overcast yesterday. However, it didn't last long and there was cloud cover again.

We dropped Joe and Pearl off at school and then headed home. The air got hazier and hazier and by the time we got home, fog was enveloping us.We were here in time for lunch. Afterwards, Terry went out to work on the "new" hay trailer he is making. He'll be working on that for a long time. Today he found a piece that should be welded. It is too bad Leon didn't notice it when it was at his welding shop.

The fog lifted, but the clouds hung around. I hiked east this afternoon and only saw 1 pheasant, 2 ducks, numerous Canada geese, and 1 jack rabbit. But I heard meadowlarks and several other bird calls.

There was a lot of twittering in the trees south of the house and I think it was a flock of juncos. Those were the only birds I could see out there, except for a woodpecker and he wouldn't be twittering.

Goodnight!
