TEKA RANCH - WHERE THE FUN NEVER ENDS - FEBRUARY 17, 2018 - SATURDAY
The weather was nice again today. The temp made it to 33 degrees, but the wind blew from the northwest. I took a walk over to Lake Alice anyway. I keep saying that one of these days I am going to walk across the lake, but so far it hasn't happened. I will need to wear ice grippers to do that.

Terry walked down to Kevin's.

This morning I finished the book that Arlene gave me to read about Norwegian homesteaders in the early days of Dakota Territory. I really enjoyed it.
I think these little birds are ruby-crowned kinglets.

When I came home from my walk, I mixed up breadsticks. I haven't made breadsticks for YEARS and I had forgotten how much work they are. Anyway, these breadsticks should be rolled pencil-thin and the recipe says to bake them at 300 degrees until brown. They baked and baked at 300 degrees but didn't turn brown, so I turned up the oven. Towards the end I turned the oven up to 400 degrees. That worked better. Maybe there was a typo on my recipe.

I also made a z-cake. Last summer I thought I had frozen so many pkgs of zucchini, but I think I used the last one tonight.

Church in the morning-- goodnight!
