TEKA RANCH - WHERE THE FUN NEVER ENDS - SEPTEMBER 30, 2017 - SATURDAY
We brought the game cam in to see what we could see. And what did we see? Only Kathy riding the lawn mower round and round the tree. That was disappointing. We hoped to see a dog or coyote or deer. There are deer tracks in the center of the yard.
We almost hit a phantom fawn on the way to Watertown, and Mom said that a neighbor hit 2 at one time. It's hard to believe that we are to believe that SD's deer population is low.
A hay customer was scheduled to come this morning and said she'd get here about 11. Terry answered her text and asked if she could come any earlier because we wanted to get to Fall Festival by 1:30. She called to say they'd left a little earlier, but they still didn't get here until after 11. Anyway, Terry loaded them as fast as he could and was ready to leave by 12:45.
We had a fun at Fall Festival. Terry bought a pig, and we bid on some other stuff. I didn't actually bring home as much 'stuff' as I did last year.
I don't know what the cranberry cake brought, the Z-cake was bid up to $40. Now I have to bake another one, because Terry is sad when I donate one to Fall Festival. The aprons were more of a novelty than anything. I think people look at them and say, "I could make those myself-- if I wanted to."
We had a little rain here.
That's all for today. Adios!
