TEKA RANCH - WHERE THE FUN NEVER ENDS - SEPTEMBER 2, 2017 - SATURDAY - HANNAH'S BIRTHDAY - BEN'S BIRTHDAY - TODD'S BIRTHDAY - DIANE'S BIRTHDAY - TED AND MARVIE'S 50TH ANNIVERSARY
We drove out to Huron for a day at the SD State Fair. It was a nice summer's day for it. The crops along Hwy 37 to Huron sure don't look very good from lack of moisture.
Since we didn't get there very early we had to park a ways away, but not nearly so far as many others. Right off we saw Anita and Natalie. Then Georgia, Tami, and Rhonda- gals I worked with at the sale barn. It was very good to see all of them.
We walked through the farming equipment, marveling at the size of some of the sprayers and hay rakes. We ate candy bacon which was good, but expensive. We walked through the cattle barn, watched some of the rides on the midway, and spent money in the family living building. A gal was there selling shoe inserts for people with a variety of foot problems. They were NOT giving the orthotics away, but I got a pair, because my feet felt better almost immediately. Terry bought an extendable window washer gadget to make washing the tractor's windows easier. Then we bought a couple different kinds of HOT and ICY packs.
Tomorrow it's supposed to be in the 90's- one last hooray of summer? Next week is supposed to be cooler.
The sun sets before 8 now. The days are getting shorter so quickly!
